Purchasing Tickets at THSR Station Ticket Window

Services

Period opens for booking

  • Ordinary Tickets: Reserved seat tickets shall be booked and sold twenty-nine days (inclusive) prior to the date of departure, and shall cease to be sold by 3 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time of the specific train. Furthermore, reserved seat tickets shall be booked and sold the train departure of the fifth Sunday while the booking dates are on Fridays or Saturdays.

Service Time

  • Please refer to the operating time for each station and ticketing deadline (the period open for booking is subject to change by notice).

Confirmation of booking

Before purchasing tickets, please make sure of "date, time, departure and arrival stations, numbers, and types," then provide to ticket staff.

Attention

Tickets Purchase Precautions

  • Ordinary Tickets (including Adult Tickets, Child Tickets, Senior Tickets, and Concession Tickets ) and Group Tickets are available to purchase at the THSRC Ticket Window.
  • Passengers can use cash, credit cards, and debit cards for payment. VISA, MASTER CARD (including MasterPass), JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, China UnionPay cards are accepted for online payment. For chip cards that accept the interbank transfer of non-predesignated accounts only. Interbank transfer fee will be charged if passengers use debit cards (including UnionPay cards) that issued from the banks except Mega International Commercial Bank, Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank, and Taishin International Bank.
  • Children under 12 years of age can purchase Child Tickets. Children whose heights are less than 115cm and don't take seats may be exempted from Tickets. The number of ticket-exempt children escorted by each ticket-bearing passenger is limited to two children. Children whose heights are 150cm or above but less than 12 year of age, or those whose heights are 150cm or above but less than six year of age should present their IDs (ex., Health Insurance Card or Household Registry.)
  • Nationals who are at or above the age of 65 at the boarding date and those who are qualified with the Mackay Project may purchase Senior Tickets with IDs or certificates that include a photo, ID number and birth date.
  • Physically and mentally challenged nationals and their guardians or necessary companions may purchase concession tickets, with their disability manuals with 50% off discount.

Change of Booking

  • Ordinary Tickets: Passengers who want to change the booking before using within the effective period can take the ticket to the Ticket Window in any THSR station for assistance. Cancellations of reserved seat tickets must be made 30 minutes before scheduled train departure. Cancellations of non-reserved seat tickets must be made before the scheduled date of departure within the valid time at the THSRC Ticket Window.
  • Group Tickets: Passengers who want to change the booking before using within the effective period can take all of the group tickets to the Ticket Window in any THSR station for assistance. The last change date is one day before the departure date.
  • No processing fee will be deduct in the first change of booking. If passengers want to change the booking once again, then a surcharge of NT$20 per ticket is needed.

Cancellation of Booking

  • Ordinary Tickets: Passengers who want to change the booking before using within the effective period can take the ticket to the Ticket Window in any THSR station for assistance. Cancellations of reserved seat tickets must be made 30 minutes before scheduled train departure. Cancellations of non-reserved seat tickets must be made before the scheduled date of departure within the valid time at the THSRC Ticket Window.
  • Group Tickets: Passengers who want to change the booking before using within the effective period can take the ticket to the Ticket Window in any THSR station for assistance. Passengers can cancel the tickets at least two hours before departure.
  • If passengers want to cancel the tickets, then a surcharge of NT$20 per ticket is needed.
  • When canceling an online payment, the surcharge will be deducted from the original sum and returned to the credit card owner's account (except in exceptional circumstances).It takes 7-15 days to make the cancellation (exclude holidays and weekends).

Ticket Transaction Record

  • Passengers may download the ticket record from THSRC Website(Homepage/Tickets and Fares/E-Ticket Record). Partial Ticket Records only provide Chinese version services.
