Onboard Services & Features
- Smoking is prohibited on trains, including electronic cigarettes. Chewing betel nut is also not permitted.
- In the car, seats numbered with A and E are window seats, while seats numbered with C and D are aisle seats, and seats numbered with B are in the middle of A and C.
- The train consists of 12 cars. Car 6 is a Business Car (66 seats), and the remaining 11 cars are Standard Cars (911 seats).
- For the number of non-reserved-seat cars on each train, please refer to the Timetable and Fare Search.
- The breastfeeding room is located in Car 5. Please contact train crew prior to use.
- The coat hook has a weight limit of 2 kg. Please do not hang heavy items or objects that may interfere with the reclining of the seat in front.
- Each seat is equipped with a fold-down tray table with a weight limit of 10 kg.
- Cold or hot drinking water is not available on trains. Passengers may use the automatic vending machines.
- The emergency intercom is for emergency use only and may not be used as a service bell. Do not use it unless there is an emergency.
- Bathrooms on trains:
- To maintain cleanliness, please throw toilet paper and paper toilet seat covers in the toilet. Do not throw other items in the toilet.
- All trains are equipped with vacuum toilets, please flush it before you leave.
- Cars 4 and 12 of each train are equipped with telephone booths and charging stations (exception for TR30).
- THSR trains provide Wireless Internet Access (SSID: THSR_freeWIFI_ALL). Passengers can use personal laptops or mobile devices to access WiFi.
- The train master's office in car 6 of each train is equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED). Please contact the train crew if it is required.
